Reason Behind ZTE and Huawei from 5G mobile networks banned by Sweden

On Tuesday, Sweden has banned the use of telecommunications equipment from China’s ZTE and Huawei in its 5G network. Europian Authorities have been looking at the role of Chinese companies as United states have been seen accusing China of security threats for building their pressure all over the world through 5G networks. Sweden came into an action banning Chinese ZTE, Huawei from 5G mobile networks after the UK. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) has said the setting of the permit conditions followed evaluations by the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Security Service.

The United States of America has been blaming China for security threats from Chinese equipment. In July, The United Kingdom has already ordered Huawei equipment to be removed from the UK’s 5G network by 2027. The United Kingdom has become one of the first European countries to do so.

After Coronavirus pandemic hits hard all over the world. Many countries have started boycotting Chinese products. Even though, China has admitted that covid-19 was not spread intentionally.

After banning Huawei and ZTE, Both the companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the decision by Sweden Authorities. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority PTS said companies who are taking part in the auction, they must have to remove Huawei and ZTE gear from existing central functions by January 1, 2025.

As we have mentioned in the introductory part that the United Kingdom and European Governments have been reviewing its functions. They suspected security threats. That’s why they took this harsh decision. Although, The country’s Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) has said the setting of the permit conditions followed evaluations by the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Security Service. PTS further said companies who will participate in the auction, they must have to remove Huawei and ZTE gear from existing central functions by January 1, 2025.
